The University of Tsukuba International Student Center’s Center for Distance Learning of Japanese and Japanese Issues (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) hereby prescribes its privacy policy below and endeavors to protect personal information.

1. Compliance with laws and regulations The Center shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Incorporated Administrative Agencies, etc., as well as other relevant laws and regulations, guidelines, and privacy policies.
2. Obtaining personal information We will, as much as possible, expressly indicate or declare the purpose of the use to which obtained personal information will be put when we obtain personal information or notify or declare the purpose of the use to which obtained personal information will be put immediately after personal information is obtained.
3. Utilizing personal information In order to improve content produced by the Center, the study history of each user may be used for research or development purposes in a manner that does not harm the privacy of individuals or organizations.
4. Providing personal information Personal information shall not be disclosed or provided to a third party except where a request with a legal basis has been made.
5. Managing personal information Faculty members shall be subject to supervision that is required and appropriate for the safe management of personal information, including in terms of preventing the leakage of personal information.
6. Overseeing outsourcees Any party to whom the handling of personal information is outsourced shall be subject to supervision that is required and appropriate for the safe management of personal information.
7. Revisions This Privacy Policy is subject to revision in order to improve its contents. A revised version of this Privacy Policy shall take effect from the indicated date of the revision hereof.
8. User data deletion User data stored in the Center can be deleted at the will of the registered user.
   If you wish to delete your user data, please follow the instructions for each service or application, or send an email to the address below.
   After receiving the request, all data related to the user will be deleted as soon as possible.
