Detailed information regarding the Japanese-language courses is also available
on the ISC web-site, Japanese language section, at http://www.intersc.tsukuba.ac.jp/japanese/
Note: Students are placed at an appropriate
level course on the basis of their performance in a placement test. This
level is not based on the amount of students' knowledge of Japanese, but
on their ability to perform in Japanese and their communicative skills,
and therefore, it does not necessarily correspond to the number of hours
they have studied prior to coming to Japan.
In addition to these Japanese language courses, various introductory courses in Japanese history, society, arts, and science and technology are offered for international students throughout the campus. These courses are taught in simple and easy-to-understand Japanese. All JTP students are encouraged to take these courses as well.
